TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
Keen to share our learning, we advocate and provide training and consultancy for practitioners and organisations within and beyond Cornwall.
"Music for Good delivered a session on trauma-informed practice for the Sunderland Music Hub. Having a music specialist deliver this training for practitioners was extremely beneficial and the session balanced practical and interactive activities with theoretical concepts and context well - thought provoking and insightful for all." - Hannah Taylor (August 2023)
We know that there are many practitioners out there doing amazing work but who feel isolated and disconnected from each other.
Likewise, there are fabulous organisations that have low capacity, lack of provision and little agency to change within their current structure.
We've seen firsthand what happens when the flow of information, advice, and guidance dries up. It results in a lack of understanding and knowledge and this impacts on the very people we are all trying to help.
Music for Good believe that all people, regardless of age, circumstance or background should reach their potential and that we are better able to do this working together.
Through our training and development services we support connection and peer supported learning by giving access to current information, advice and guidance. We are passionate about upskilling practitioners by sharing our knowledge, research and best practice so others can gain confidence in the benefits of making music.
