The Sound Den is a FREE, inclusive, creative music ensemble. We focus on supporting young people who might be struggling to access other types of musical activities and aim to provide a supportive, nurturing, and fun space for young musicians and singers to come together and be creative while supporting their emotional wellbeing and resilience. Our ensemble is led by an experienced team of music for wellbeing practitioners.

Our Sound Den Programme takes place over 3 days. We are often lucky enough to be working in partnership with the National Trust or other supportive organisations, who host us at their inspiring locations.

  • Supporting wellbeing and musical goals

  • Open to young people aged 13-18 years from all across Cornwall

  • Support with travel arrangements and costs available

  • You can apply for a place yourself, or be referred by an adult who knows you

  • No specific experience necessary - just a passion for music

"My son had an amazing time at the Sound Den experience in Pool. He really enjoyed making music with the group and came away with aspirations to explore working with people with special educational needs, whilst also looking further into music therapy as a career direction. Since the Sound Den he has practiced his guitar daily and has improved immensely. I would like to thank the team for their intervention, for inspiring my son, and providing these wonderful experiences for our young people."
